For claims that do not require field investigation.
We guarantee to pay the claim within 24 hours from date of receipt of all required documents else we pay 10 % interest per annum for each day of delay. Interest rate shall be as prescribed by regulations or 10% per annum on claim benefit for each day delay, whichever is higher
The Guarantee is applicable for individual death claims. Rider claims falls outside the purview of Guarantee.
Guarantee is applicable for policies which are active for a continuous period of 3 years from the risk commencement date / reinstatement date whichever is later.
Guarantee is applicable from date of submission of all required documents at the Company’s Head Office/branch offices/ other touch points before 3 PM.
Delay is calculated from date of receipt of all documents at the Company’s Head Office/branch offices/ other touch points on a working day before 3 PM.
Saturday, Sunday, public festivals, and non-NAV days (for ULIP) are excluded (not treated as a working day)
Cases warranting investigation falls outside the horizon of Guarantee.
Mandatory Documents to be submitted-
Original Policy Bond
Completely filled & signed claim intimation form by nominee
Original / attested copy of valid death certificate issued by competent municipal authorities
Medical certificate of cause of death
Nominee KYC and Personalised cancelled cheque/ Copy of bank passbook
Complete set of medical records, if any (this includes first consultation paper, all subsequent OPD consultation papers, Discharge Summary & Indoor Case Papers of all admissions, lab reports etc)
Copy of First Information Report, Post Mortem Report, Panchanama, Inquest Report, Viscera/Chemical analysis report if applicable
