Suraj and Aisha were having their dinner. Just then Suraj said to Aisha, “Aisha, I met with an accident today.”
Aisha replied shockingly, “What? How? When? And why didn’t you inform me earlier? Are you injured?”
Suraj then smiled and said, “No. By God’s grace nothing happened to me today. But…
Aisha questioned, “What but?”
Suraj, “It doesn’t mean nothing will happen to me!
Aisha replied, “Don’t be negative, it brings bad omen.”
Suraj said, “That’s the fact. Thank God I have a term insurance plan which gives an additional accidental benefit and also covers me against accidental total and permanent disabilities.”
Life is unpredictable as the numbers of accident are increasing every day. So the need for a comprehensive cover is also increasing. It will provide financial support to me and my family, in case I happen to meet with some major accident or mis-happening, which results in death or permanent disability.
In India a person dies every 90 seconds due to an accident.
A basic life insurance policy will give a lump sum to the nominee if the policyholder dies and a medical insurance policy will pay the hospital bills if he is injured. But what if a mishap leads to a disability and hampers my earning capacity?
Whether the disability is total or partial, temporary (3-4 months) or permanent, a comprehensive plan will come in handy. If the policyholder has opted for the benefit, the plan will also pay the medical expenses incurred due to the accident.
A comprehensive term plan is not only useful but also very cheap.”
Aisha, “Are you sure you chose the right plan?”
Suraj replied, “Yes, I chose Edelweiss Tokio Life Zindagi Plus. It provides cover against death, disabilities and diseases. It covers me against 17 critical illnesses like cancer, stroke and so on. It also covers me against accidental and total disability.
This plan has another unique feature which is the better half benefit. Under which, on death of the policyholder the entire sum assured will be paid to the nominee and a life cover which is 50% of the basic sum assured will continue in the spouse’s name. This means, it provides dual protection.
Aisha, “I’m glad we are completely protected as a family. Come on, let’s continue our dinner.”
