Be Your Own Superhero

Rohan asked his 5-year old son Aarav who was super excited to watch a movie, “which movie you want to watch?”

Aarav replied, “Daddy, Spiderman.”

Rohan said, “Ok son, get ready!”

Aarav then asked in a curious tone, “Before that, Daddy tell me, what does a superhero do?”

Rohan explained, “Well, aside from helping down cats stuck in trees and charging into epic battles with super villains hell-bent on destroying the planet, the essence of every superhero’s job is to protect you against dangers and keep you safe. It is to make your life easier by offering the unspoken but truthful assurance that no matter what happens, someone’s got your back. Most importantly, it is to actually have your back when something wrong does happen.”

Aarav then asked, “So he will protect you too?”

Hearing this Rohan was taken aback for a while and discussed this with his wife Priya.

Priya understood the situation and then said, “You have your superhero, Rohan.”
