7 Activities You Shall do With Your Children

Insurance is not always about Insurance Policy, it is also about the Protection.

This week we discuss how can your spending time with children boost their protection level.

Successful Parenting which is the key to a child’s success comes with spending time with your children. You will fail in all your time management strategy if you don’t allocate and spend time with our children.

Here is a list of the some of the activities you shall do with your children:

1. Play:

This is fun times for both, you and your children. Children always loves their parents play with them.

Play indoor as well as outdoor games. They need to learn how to win without cheating. They also need to learn how to handle the loss.

Parents playing with them can teach this important lesson to them.

2. Discuss:

Don’t think they don’t understand your problems. This is a myth. Sometimes a great solution comes from children. They have the power of fresh and without baggage thinking.

Discuss your office work, discuss politics, discuss their schooling, discuss their worldviews, and discuss the different books you both are reading.

Dictate your office letter to a child. She will learn the art of writing. Identify such other opportunities.

3. Outing:

A periodic outing is necessary with your children. At homes parents are always preoccupied with one or the other priorities and children are busy with their homework and endless tuitions. It is the Outing where both parents and children are free.

This is an opportunity of creating lasting memories. You both emotionally come closer during outings i.e. short picnics or long holidays.

4. Memories:

Splurge into the old memories. See old photographs together. Share your childhood memories. Share stories about your parents.

These stories shape their worldviews and build their character.

5. Watch TV shows:

Watching the TV shows your children are watching. They would love it. They will introduce their world to you. In the process, you will learn a thing or two about them and about the life. Laugh with them and show concern for their concerns.

When we do non-routine things we learn. Usually, we don’t have the time. Spending time with what your children do, gives this opportunity.

1.Plan:

Planning a tour? Involve your child in the planning process. They are not as naïve as you might think.

Take out the map and design your itinerary. They will learn an important lesson about the planning process and what it takes. They will know about ticket booking, hotel reservation or walk-in, about the cities and places, about the map.

All these are tacit fun learning.

2.Routine Chores:

Doing home chores with your children are good activities. They will learn and it will be a fun.

Cook together, wash dishes, clean home, take them to car garage for repair, take them to the bank, go by Bus once in a while if you travel only by car. Implement your minimalist project with them.

Spending time with your children is the most important investment you would make. It is a win-win situations for both of you. They will grow up smarter and you will have one of the best retirement planning decisions.
